    Ilinca Calugareanu dokumentumfilmje a mozgókép erejéről, varázsáról mesél. Az 1980-as évek Romániájában a vasfüggönyön átszivárgó nyugati filmek jelentették az emberek számára az egyetlen kitekintést a szabad világra. Egész iparág épült arra, hogy a nyugati filmeket – akciófilmektől a művészfilmekig – feketén szinkronizálják vagy alámondják, és a VHS-kópiákat terítsék a feketepiacon. Ezen filmek révén egy zsaroló és egy bátor fordítónő kisebb forradalmat indított el.
