The unique ensemble led by Elemér Balázs has maintained the same artistic concept since the very start, it is no wonder, therefore, that both the audience and professional musicians consider them to be in the highest echelons of Hungary’s jazz elite. Testaments to this are their three Fonogram awards, regularly sold-out concerts, and the plethora of invitations they receive to other European capitals. A focus on male and female vocals, the tasteful blending of musical styles, and melody-driven compositions are all hallmarks of BEG. For this evening, they have invited three guests who all contributed to the success of the band in some manner. The appearance of Elemér Balázs Jr reinforces the crossover angle, while also doubling as an expression of fatherly pride.
