    COMPLEX. RARE. SERENE.

    Béni Csillag graduated from Hungary’s Liszt Academy of Music, and continued his career abroad. He has been living in the Netherlands for 20 years now. The distinguished conductor continued his studies at Holland’s Royal Conservatory of the Hague under the guidance of Jos van Veldhoven and Jos Vermunt. Currently he is serving as the conductor of the choirs Consensus Vocalis and Nederlands Studenten Kamerkoor. He has given concerts with the Netherlands Chamber Choir, and also worked with the choirs of Netherlands Radio Choir, Cappella Amsterdam and Chorwerk Ruhr. Now he returns to Budapest as the conductor of some major pieces of 20th century choral works. The concert also features a true rarity: Herbert Howells’ Requiem, which was written in 1932 but premiered only in 1980.
