The Capital Circus of Budapest presents
    MOTHER HOLLE

This Christmas, the Capital Circus of Budapest brings to life one of the most beautiful and beloved Grimm tales: Mother Holle — the story of two girls and their adventurous journey through the Otherworld, their trials, and their coming of age. The classic fable has been reimagined with a more personal and contemporary touch: the tale of two sisters who, through spectacular circus choreographies of trials and challenges, come to learn what it truly means to be sisters and to accept one another — with all
    their differences included.

Our circus fairy tale carries a message: be open to the qualities and truths of others; observe them, understand them, find the good within them, and weave that goodness into yourself — only then can you stand firmly for your own truth. Such openness, such mutual acceptance and love, has the power to make the whole world better.

In Péter Fekete’s production at the Capital Circus of Budapest, Mother Holle is not merely a children’s parable, but also a work rich in initiatory symbolism: it evokes the passage into adulthood, the birth of independent moral choices, and the recognition of the cosmic order of truth.

The principal roles are played by a Brazilian and a Russian aerialist, alongside three Hungarian clowns, with further performances by circus artists from China, Uzbekistan, Germany, Hungary, Russia, and Ukraine; together with horses, both farmyard and exotic animals. Expect wondrous adventures, dazzling scenes, and soul-stirring songs performed by actors honored with the Jászai Mari and Kossuth
    Prizes.

    Our offer

Ifj. Johann Strauss egyik legnépszerűbb műve, A cigánybáró a Jókai200 emlékév keretében kerül színpadra a Budapesti Operettszínházban. A darab 1885-ben, a Theater an der Wienben aratott először sikert, amikor a zeneszerző Ignaz Schnitzer librettójára komponálta meg nagyszabású operettjét Jókai Mór Szaffi című elbeszélése nyomán.
