One hundred instruments played by a single person: what is this all about? The organ is one of the most multifaceted instruments in existence. Now, in the Gallery Concerts series, it will be placed in a new light, both literally and figuratively. After the canopy above our heads descends, the audience in the gallery will enjoy an unparalleled acoustic experience as they listen to pieces from the organ repertoire that could almost be considered smash hits.
With this compilation of pieces, Sámuel Marcell Tüzes, who is active as a church musician, cantor and contributor to orchestral and chamber music productions, will evoke the organ culture of Paris. The young musician has selected his programme from Baroque and 19th-century masterpieces from the instrument's impressively rich French tradition.
