On the first evening of the chamber music series entitled ‘Variations’, the musicians of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra evoke the peaceful, cheerful and idyllic sounds of the Arcadian groves. The flute, the harp and instrumental virtuosity are placed at the centre of the performance. The programme includes several works written by the composer in his youth. The piece ‘Two Interludes’ is a real musical treat, which not only evokes the sound of 18th century music with 20th century musical instruments but also offers a unique interpretation of a well-known story: the composition brings the character of Don Juan to life.
